Rabbit with spanner & Earth First!The dates of the EF! Summer Gathering have been changed, to work better with other events happening over the summer such as the Saving Iceland protest camp and the Camp for Climate Action.

The new dates are Wednesday 27th August to Monday 1st September 2008.

This should give us all the space to recover & reflect, and to plot & plan onwards and upwards.

EF! earth fist logoThis report announces the formation of a new campaigning and action group to be called EAST KENT EARTH FIRST!

The group is based in Canterbury, but already has support from people in the Medway Towns, Sittingbourne, Herne Bay and Thanet as well as Canterbury. Most of the people involved have a background in the Animal Rights movement and recognise the need to broaden out into Eco Action and related issues. Be it GM crops, Airport expansion, unnecessary development, or diverse other issues we shall seek to educate, inform and protest, notwithstanding the current clampdown on reasonable protest. There will shortly be a website up and running, but in the meantime anyone interested in being involved should

The focus is on practical skills, but there will also be many of the regular diverse and interesting workshops.

This message is adressed to all people in Europe who want to resist actively GMO’s, cloning, nano-technologies, biometrics, DNA registration, industrial experiments upon animals, BioPatent and more generally agrochemical multinational policy.

From the 11th to the 14th of March 2007, the fifth edition of Biovision/Biosquare Forum is going to take place in Lyon. These meetings are now considered to be the biggest meeting in the world on biotechnologies. Stop Biovision!
